THE Q UNVEILED AS THE HOME OF QLD GREYHOUND RACING!

SET TO OPEN 7 JUNE 2025

The Q is set to become the new heart of greyhound racing in Queensland, bringing together the Brisbane and Ipswich Greyhound Racing Clubs at a world-class facility in Purga, Ipswich.

Backed by a $44.15M investment from the Racing Infrastructure Fund, The Q blends innovation with tradition—featuring three unique tracks (Q1 Lakeside, Q2 Parklands, and Q Straight) designed for peak safety and performance.

With state-of-the-art facilities, a strong focus on animal welfare, and a surrounding precinct known as Parklands for community enjoyment, The Q will drive economic growth and position Queensland as a global hub for premier greyhound racing.

Notice to QGRC customers and participants

As our transition to The Q progresses, some changes in our customer-facing operations at Albion have had to be implemented.

Now that we are racing just 2 days per week, the BHRC has commenced their planned upgrade to Pacers and Chasers. While not ideal, we understand the upgrade must be started now to ensure the project is completed prior to the Interdominion.

Accordingly, Pacers and Chasers is now closed. This means the Club has moved its operation to the temporary facilities in the marquee.

Drinks will be available in the marquee however the range will be limited. Furthermore, our food offer on Wednesdays will be restricted to pre-prepared cabinet food only.

The kitchen will be operating on Sundays although some of your menu favorites may be missing.

We thank you for your continued support as we work through the last few race meetings at Albion Park and look forward to welcoming you at The Q.
