When the session first went live, an incorrect limit of two trials per trainer had been applied within the booking system. This was the result of a system error, which the developers of On The Clock have acknowledged and apologised to the Club for.

Shortly after bookings opened, the issue was identified and promptly corrected by the developers, with the maximum number of trials per trainer updated to six.

Although the session had initially booked out, cancellations have since created additional availability, allowing trainers to secure more than two trials where possible.

To support the expected demand, the Club had already extended the trial session, with trials running from 6:30am through to 11:45am.

QGRC General Manager – Racing, Steve Harling, apologised to participants for the inconvenience caused.

“The positive outcome is that more trainers will now have the opportunity to trial tomorrow. However, I do acknowledge the inconvenience caused when the advertised settings did not match those applied at the time bookings opened.

The On The Clock developer has apologised for the error.

It is disappointing, particularly as we were trialling new measures tomorrow to improve the efficiency of the trialling process — including, for the first time, a dedicated block for larger kennels to minimise disruption and streamline the overall flow of trials.”

Harling also reminded participants to trial only within their confirmed bookings.

“The Club has acknowledged the error, but trial rules remain in place. Please do not attempt additional trials beyond those you are booked for.

If you have booked a solo trial and decide to run additional dogs within that single trial, as always, our staff will work with you to accommodate. However, undertaking extra trials beyond your booking is not permitted.”

Trainers with bookings for the session have until 11:30pm Thursday 1 January to modify their current bookings. Participants are advised to check the On The Clock bookings site regularly in case bookings open from cancellations.
