The Queensland Greyhound Racing Club (QGRC), together with Racing Queensland, has reviewed the earlier changes made to trial conditions at The Q.
We thank the industry participants for their respectful feedback in relation to these suggested changes. As was originally noted, the QGRC reserves the right to make changes to trial conditions at any time, to ensure that we are providing the best and safest opportunity for greyhounds to successfully trial at The Q.
The Q – Condition of Nomination
Racing Queensland’s condition of nomination requirements will continue.
Q Trial Sessions
The Q trial sessions will continue to be published on the Trial Bookings page of the QGRC website.
Note: Albion Park trial sessions will continue as they have historically: Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening after the races.
Q Trial Conditions
- A trainer trial limit will be in place for each session. This will be shown on the Trial Bookings page of the QGRC website and within the On The Clock booking system.
- Trainers can choose to complete a solo, 2 dog, 3 dog or 4 dog trial in each of their trials.
- Puppy slips are available for these trials.
- We will offer at least one session per week which is exclusively reserved for greyhounds who have not yet been passed as per the Racing Queensland’s condition of nomination requirements.
- A trainer trial limit will still apply.
- Where possible, we encourage trainers to trial more than 1 dog in each trial.
- Given the condition of nomination requirements, no puppy slips are available for this session.
