CEO Resignation

Wednesday 17th June, 2026

The Queensland Greyhound Racing Club advises that Chief Executive Officer Ashley Baker has resigned from his position due to personal reasons, effective from the conclusion of the Winter Carnival in July.

Mr Baker joined the Club in 2025 and has led the organisation through a significant period of transition and transformation, including the continued development of The Q precinct and the strengthening of the Club’s governance, operations and strategic direction.

The Board thanks Mr Baker for his leadership and contribution during this period and acknowledges his unwavering commitment to the Club, its staff, members, industry participants and the broader greyhound racing community. Under his guidance, the Club has achieved a number of important milestones and is well positioned for future success.

Mr Baker will continue in his role through to the completion of the Winter Carnival and will work closely with the Board to ensure an orderly and seamless transition.

The Board will commence a process to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer, with further updates to be provided in due course.

Kind regards,

Queensland Greyhound Racing Club
