Q2 track record holder and G1 champ Cumbria Jack confirmed for Winter Carnival

NSW trainer Stephen Fitch has confirmed that superstar sprinter Cumbria Jack has headed north for the Winter Carnival, taking on races like the State of Origin Match Race and the Group 1 Brisbane Cup.
After a small let-up on the back his electrifying Group 3 Ambrosoli win on Golden Easter Egg night, Cumbria Jack has started his preparation for the Winter Carnival, where over $3 million is up for grabs.
Cumbria Jack is the only greyhound to break 29 seconds over the 520 metres at Q2, running an amazing 28.99 in August, 2025. He also took out the Group 1 National Sprint Championship on the track, and he’ll be one of the headline acts in the next few months.
“Along with Jack, we will also be sending Eriza Sparkles, Cumbria Chrissy and Cumbria Benny,” announced Fitch, who has held off sending his five-time track record holder to stud to chase the riches at The Q.
Cumbria Jack has started on 32 occasions for 22 wins and seven placings, winning over $350,000 in the process.
